THE COMPANY

CHEWIGEM® is a UK based, chewable jewellery designed to meet the needs of those children and adults who need to chew. The company is positioned as one of the leading providers of oral sensory items in the world and is very focused on providing safe as well as environmentally friendly products.

CHEWIGEM® has their own design team which ensures that designs are unique to the company and are not mass produced.

CHEWIGEM ® jewellery is non-toxic, stylish and effective at meeting the need to chew. It is also a lot more discreet than some chewing aids available on the market. With a wide range of stylish designs, you'll find a broad range of colours to choose from, and a Chewigem that is sure to suit you.

Our silicone is food safe, medical grade, is free from harmful chemicals (BPA, PVC, Lead, Latex and Phthalate free) and meets FDA standards. CHEWIGEM® principles work closely with the factory to ensure that all regulations are being met. Safety tests are consistently done on all products to meet the standards of the countries in which they are sold.

We know when it comes to chew products, safety is so very important. As such, CHEWIGEM® have secured the CE mark against the required Toy standards. This is probably a bit extreme, as Chewigems are not toys, but this seemed the most robust test. Toxicity and bite tests have also been carried out on all our products.

WHO WE ARE

Chewigem^TM Canada launched in May of 2015. Business partners, Carla Dayholos and Linda Senderewich, value the opportunity to make these high quality products available to parents (and children) here in Canada. Both Carla and Linda have experienced first-hand how chewable items can assist individuals control anxiety and help with sensory processing. It has definitely been a satisfying experience to interact with all our wonderful customers and contacts in the ‘need to chew’ world, be it babies, children, teens or adults.

Chewigem^TM Canada is proud to provide part time employment and job training for a young adult with autism. As the business grows, this integral individual will be employed full time.

Carla is the mother of 2 adult daughters, one with autism. She also owns a Gift Basket business, a Focus Tool business and works in the school system with children with special needs.

Linda is the mother of 3 adult children and owner of a business in the service industry. She is also an ICT specialist at a private school.
